Testimonies

What they are saying about us

IJCR has been my home for the past couple of years. Throughout this journey, I witnessed a community of students who are all eager to learn and, in the process, enjoy the research, thinking, and collaboration with one another. I’m thankful for this opportunity that made me grow academically and personally!

Myriam Boueri

Manager of the Growth and Development Chapter and Vice President of the MSAB

This wonderful and unique experience helped me develop new skills in terms of research, paper review and communication. I met very inspiring people from all around the world, each of whom taught me a lesson about tolerance, humility and self-esteem. I highly recommend it!

Adam Roumani

Journal Club Chapter

If I had to summarize my experience in MSAB in one phrase, I’d say: “Teamwork is at the heart of great achievement.” There’s no better way to achieve success and gain valuable medical knowledge and experience than to do so with such a precious exceptional team at IJCR.

Amarelle Chamoun

Journal Club Chapter

Joining IJCR was the most life-changing experience I've ever had! I never expected that I could gain so much from my 6-month journey. All in all, IJCR is my safe space to explore my potential and build my career.

Laurentia Fidella Averina Setia Santoso

Journal Club Chapter

My experience at IJCR was like nothing else! They say if you truly want to learn how to write a good research paper, you must ace the art of reading one first! That's exactly what IJCR taught me. It helped me build my confidence in reading and understanding research papers.

Seezal Arora

Journal Club Chapter

Being a member for the third term now, I can confidently say that this organization is growing like a snowball with no intention to slow down. IJCR is a place where every member in the medical community can grow and become a huge value in his/her field. Applying to IJCR was one of the best decisions I have made!

Fadel Dib

LinkedIn Manager, Social Media Chapter and Admission Officer of the MSAB

IJCR has been the best opportunity I came upon a year ago. In addition to the great experience I have gained from all the work and the guidance of our amazing mentors, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of exceptional people from all around the world. I gained friends, colleagues, mentors, and a family, and every effort I put within the MSAB was highly valued and appreciated.

Heba Sati

Director of the Pioneers in Medicine Students' Committee

IJCR has aided my development in a variety of ways. We're always learning new things about research, and since joining this chapter, my creativity has skyrocketed. Most importantly, I've managed to meet so many new people from all over the world whom I now get to call my IJCR family!

Yara Shhab

Content Development Team Manager, Social Media Chapter

Joining IJCR and contributing to its development was one of the most rewarding experiences that allowed me to grow on a personal and professional level. It was amazing to get to work with such a motivated and dedicated team from all around the world!

Reina Ibrahim

Manager of the Growth and Development Chapter and Research Officer of the MSAB

It was a great experience. Got to organize an event for the first time in my life with a country I don’t know anyone in and it was a success.

Apply

Medical students who wish to become part of the MSAB can do so through one of two pathways:

  1. Apply to become an MSAB member: MSAB members are students who join one of MSAB’s chapters based on their interests & skills set. They are expected to commit and contribute to the tasks which fall within the scope of their chapter, ultimately ensuring its growth & constant active status. As such, members’ subscriptions are waived in recognition of their valuable contribution to MSAB’s growth. Their involvement will be assessed throughout the term using an objective points system which will count towards the termination/extension of their membership for the upcoming term. Limited spots exist for MSAB members within each chapter & enrollment of new members occurs on a term basis. MSAB members will have full access to all benefits & opportunities provided by the MSAB, as well as the opportunity to apply to vacant leadership positions within the MSAB*.

Enrollment of both MSAB Members & Subscribers takes place before the start of each term, the duration of which is 6 months.

*Both MSAB Members & Subscribers will be offered, as a recognition for their belonging to the MSAB, an exclusive IJCR Near-Field Communication (NFC) Card which will be delivered to their footsteps no matter the country of residence.

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and goal-directed medical students with an interest in research. Students from all nationalities and years of study are welcomed and encouraged to apply, however, they must be proficient in English for the purpose of communication within the MSAB.

  1. For subscribers: Medical students in addition to students from other healthcare/scientific domains are welcome to subscribe, noting that the research courses and opportunities offered as well as the workshops organized are rather medically oriented.

  2. For members: MSAB membership spots are exclusively reserved for medical students (with a case-by-case admission of premedical students).

To apply to become a member of the MSAB, all you have to do is:

  1. Fill the application form linked here. Incomplete/wrong information will result in the disqualification of the application.

  2. A professional photograph with a white background, preferably in a white coat. You will be asked to upload & attach it to your application. Photos with a non-white background will not be accepted.

  3. A brief statement (500 words max.) stating your motivation to join the MSAB, the vision you’re willing to bring, and the added value that you will add if selected to join as a member.

  4. You are also requested to follow our social media platforms, where we will be tracking your interactions with our pages as a measure of involvement.
